I’m in the middle of listening to a pre-release copy of the new Best Coast album. Let me go ahead and get it out there that if you didn’t like the first track “The Only Place,” you probably won’t like the album. Also, if you’re really into their debut release, you probably won’t like this album. The only decent songs on the album are “Do You Still Love Me Like You Used To” which has some of their older style infused into it, and “Dreaming My Life Away” which has a slow, hazy vibe (along the lines of a mix between Real Estate and Tennis.) Overall, don’t drop a million dollars trying to pre-order it until you listen to it first. Sadly, I’d only rate it 2 out of 5 stars.
